My new niece, Charlee, was born to my brother and his wife early in the morning of May 3rd in Calgary. By noon I had booked my flight out for Monday morning, and on Sunday evening I was trying to pack a couple of gifts, homemade cookies from my mom, necessities from the studio, and my least bulky clothing items into a single suitcase. I was keen to meet and photograph her at just a few days old, just as I have done for all of my nieces and nephews. As was the case with her big sister, Ryian, she is a content and snuggly newborn. It was clear that Ryian was very pleased with her, frequently smothering her with open mouth kisses. I even got a few of those too :)
We had a very quick but relaxing visit, with several mini photo sessions dispersed throughout the 2 days that I was there. Beautiful images of a beautiful family mixed with lots of snuggle time with my nieces and some shopping & cheesecake made for a solid, worthwhile trip out :) There are tons, but here are just a few favourites as always…
