My Sister’s Family

This adorable crew is my sister and her family.  They were home from Ontario visiting over the long weekend.  We only get to see each other about twice a year, so we try to pack in about as much visiting as possible…. which ends up being rather rowdy with a 4 year old, three 2.5 year olds, and a 5 month old.  Someone is usually having their toy stolen, being trampled, or is just plain tired & cranky.  It’s fabulous =)  Anyway, we set out to do a little family session, kind of expecting the worst, and yet coming out with some really great photos!

Mya & Rielle…
Although they are twins, they are just soooo different, and this pretty much sums it up =)
Rielle is rather happy to perform for the camera (or for anyone, reallly)…
This handsome fella is Noah, and he kind of likes the camera a little bit too…
… and he really likes to be on the go!
You might have to work a little harder to get a smile out of Mya, but when you do, it’s just the prettiest thing…

July 23rd Wedding | Nathan & Chelsea

I’m not entirely sure, but I think that there’s a strong possibility that this was the hottest day that we’ve had all summer =)  However, I know better than to complain, because despite the heat, it was a gorgeous day to be getting married!  Anyway, I’ll get right to it… these two have something pretty special.  Their relationship began when they were only 14, and since then, they have become each other’s best friend and favourite person.  They laugh and play around and it’s just so refreshing and fun to be around them.  Their wedding day reflected that perfectly and I’m so happy that I was able to be a part of it!

Here’s a little preview…

Chelsea wore these amazing heels despite having a broken toe!
Off to the church… Nathan parents rented them a limo for the day!
I love these shots that my second shooter, Jody, got as they were waiting at the back of the church…
Love this…
Jody rode in the limo with them to take a few shots…
We did their family photos and a few of the wedding party shots out at her grandparents’ farm…
Nathan & Chelsea prefer a bit of a grungier, urban look for their photos, so we headed back downtown…
We did an engagement photo similar to this that I loved…
This was the first reception that I’ve ever photographed in the new Best Western conference room.  Their decor looked amazing!  I love the personal touch of the shoe horn favour from Chelsea’s family’s boot shop.
Nathan’s mom baked and decorated this amazing cake.  She placed all of those tiny silver beads with tweezers!

July 16th Wedding | Andrew & Jill

Ahhh, this was such a goodie.  When I met Andrew & Jill for the first time only two weeks before their big day, I instantly liked them.  They are just such warm & comfy people and they have this adorable love between them. They couldn’t have possibly made my job of capturing that connection any easier.

Their wedding day coverage began just before their ceremony at the STU Chapel, a natural choice as they both work at STU.  When I arrived, I kept saying “Oh, I LOVE that” and “That is soooo cool” about different details, and Andrew just kept saying, “Yup, that was all Jill.”  I went through the same excitement when I saw all of their reception decorations too.  Basically, it was all just pretty darn fabulous.

Right now, Andrew & Jill are livin’ it up in Vegas.  For the rest of you, here’s a little peek at their day…

I love this shot that Jody got of Jill & her dad from the back of the chapel to go with mine of Andrew’s first look of his pretty bride…

And this is definitely one of my favourite shots of the day.  Pure happiness!
These two in this pretty light just made me giddy.
I LOVE the navy suits with mis-matched ties & the girls’ coral dresses.
I’m pretty sure that I told them at least 30 times how much I loved that they had these balloons…
Definitely a couple more of my favourite shots of these two…
Oh, and this one too…. =)
I may have had two pieces of this…
