I loved Chad & Brooke’s wedding.  Brooke’s earthy, boho stylings were perfect, and their easy-going personalities were certainly evident as well.  The girl had a beautiful vision and saw it through, despite lots of rain.  Hosted at her childhood home, they were married in the woods where she played as a child, and their reception tent was set beside the giant oak tree, something that has always symbolized ‘home’ for her (so much so that she and her sister got acorn tattoos the week before the wedding!)  I LOVE when my couples put so much personal meaning into the elements of their day like that.  The setting was ideal, the mood was fun & light, the people were crazy & hilarious, and Chad & Brooke were so relaxed & happy.  It was honestly a joy to be a part of it all.  And the bonus to top it all off?  We had tacos and cheesecake…. how great is that?!?

Another beautiful day spent celebrating with another beautiful couple!  I have a great job :)  Steve & Brittney are a likeable pair, and that was shown by the vast amount of friends and family that came out, through those who spoke about them, and so easily discovered first-hand during my time alone with them for their pictures.  They are so sweet, gracious, and caring of each other.  They were lovely to work with!  Here’s a little preview of their perfect day!

Kevan & Lacy’s relaxed lakeside wedding was an amazing way to spend my day last Saturday.  These two, and their entire group of friends & family, were an absolute treat to work with…. and a few of them even came complete with southern accents which was just the cherry on top for me :)  I LOVED my time with them and I am thrilled with all the genuine emotion that flowed out of them and right into the images.  Here’s a look at their day!

Kevan & Lacy met for the first time at the Chicago Zoo after being set up on a blind date.  In honour of that, Kevan, an incredible artist, did AMAZING sketches of some favourite zoo animals as part of the centrepieces.  You’ll see one of them below!
