Last fall, when Jennifer asked me if I would be willing to go to Italy with them to photograph their wedding, I’m not going to lie, I got a little emotionally guarded just in case she was messing with me. It felt a little bit too much like a dream. Jennifer is a very talented wedding planner on PEI and I’ve had the privilege of working with her at a few weddings the last couple of years. The thrill of visiting Italy, and to photograph a skilled wedding planner’s wedding at that, had me rather excited. And nauseous. I can honestly say that it was pretty much exactly how I dreamed it to be.
This is going to be a massive blog post, as there is simply so much to share from this beautiful wedding in the charming hillside town of Petritoli. They had visited before and fell in love with the town and had been bragging it up pretty good. They were right about all of it. Everything…. the peaceful sounds of birds during afternoon siesta, the pizzeria & cafés, the cobblestone streets with laundry hanging out to dry, etc. The weather was perfect, the scenery was stunning, every detail meticulously handled, and two people who were beyond anxious and excited to be husband & wife.
